Florida Art and Music Festivals by Date and Venue

Florida's recurring art and music festivals run from Art Basel Miami Beach in December through spring art fairs in Coconut Grove, Tampa and Winter Park and the big Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Daytona Beach concerts of March to May.

The list mixes two kinds of Florida event. The art fairs show artists' work in Coconut Grove, Winter Park and Tampa, while the music festivals are multi-day ticketed concerts on large Florida sites such as a downtown Miami park, a public beach and a motor speedway. Each date in the table comes from the organizer's own page, and two Florida festivals had not yet posted 2027 dates when this guide was checked.

Geographically the circuit leans to the Atlantic coast of the Florida peninsula, from Miami and Miami Beach north through Fort Lauderdale to Daytona Beach and Jacksonville. Winter Park is the Central Florida stop and Tampa the Gulf Coast stop; none of the festivals in this guide is held in the Panhandle or the Keys.

Florida's 2027 music festival season runs from Ultra in Miami on March 26 to 28 to Tortuga in Fort Lauderdale on April 2 to 4 and Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach on May 6 to 9.

Ultra Music Festival calls its 2027 Miami show the 27th edition and has set it for March 26, 27 and 28 at Bayfront Park (Ultra Music Festival). Its GA 3-day ticket is for ages 18 and up, and its VIP 3-day ticket is limited to ages 21 and up. An Ultra news release on the same page said its 2026 Miami festival would make history as the first major U.S. electronic festival to power a stage with zero-emission batteries.

One week after Ultra, the Florida festival calendar moves north to Fort Lauderdale. Tortuga Music Festival lists April 2 to 4 on Fort Lauderdale Beach for 2027, sells 1-day and 3-day passes, and builds the event around beach, music and ocean conservation (Tortuga Music Festival).

Welcome to Rockville closes the Florida spring run at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach from May 6 to 9, 2027. The organizer advertises 4 days, 160+ bands and 5 stages, sells parking separately from passes, and lists all-in prices that include fees and taxes (Welcome to Rockville).

The Jacksonville Jazz Festival lists free live performances at Ford on Bay and the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts in Tampa lists free admission, with VIP packages also offered at both Florida events.

The festival site, published by the City of Jacksonville Office of Sports and Entertainment, describes the jazz festival as a Memorial Day weekend event in Downtown Jacksonville, most recently May 21 to 24, 2026, with free live performances at Ford on Bay and VIP and preferred experience packages (Jacksonville Jazz Festival). Its 2026 lineup included Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton, Nile Rodgers and CHIC, esperanza spalding and Kamasi Washington.

The Gasparilla Festival of the Arts lists free admission, 250+ artists and live entertainment at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park in Tampa, with hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at its 2026 edition (Gasparilla Arts).

Florida's major outdoor art fairs cluster in late winter, led by the Coconut Grove Arts Festival on Presidents Day weekend, February 13 to 15, 2027, and the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival on March 19 to 21, 2027.

The 63rd annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival opens Saturday, February 13, 2027, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., continues Sunday on the same hours and closes Monday, February 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is presented by the nonprofit Coconut Grove Arts and Historical Association, whose office phone is 305-447-0401 and whose ticketing support line is (877) 253-8717 (Coconut Grove Arts Festival).

In Winter Park, the 68th Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival runs March 19 to 21, 2027, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday; the festival has been held since 1960 (Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival).

The Florida art calendar year closes with Art Basel Miami Beach, which lists its 2026 fair for December 4 to 6 in Miami Beach, with tickets sold through its own site (Art Basel Miami Beach).

Three Florida festival sites still show an older edition as of October 15, 2026: SunFest in West Palm Beach, the Jacksonville Jazz Festival and the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts.

SunFest's home page in downtown West Palm Beach still lists May 3 to 5, 2024 as its festival dates and posts no later edition (SunFest).

The Jacksonville and Tampa cases are timing rather than gaps. The Jacksonville Jazz Festival page still carries its 2026 Memorial Day weekend dates, and Gasparilla Arts still shows its 2026 weekend on its home page while it introduces jurors for the 2027 festival, so their 2027 Florida dates should be checked on those pages before travel is booked.

The Florida Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, funds single cultural projects, programs, exhibitions or series through its Specific Cultural Project grant and honors artists through the Florida Artists Hall of Fame, which the Legislature created in 1986.

A Specific Cultural Project grant pays for a single cultural project, program, exhibition or series held within a July 1 to June 30 grant period. Applicants must be a public entity or a Florida nonprofit, tax exempt corporation, and individual artists may apply in some categories. Applications for fiscal year 2027-2028 are closed, and the next cycle covers July 1, 2028 through June 30, 2029 (Florida Division of Arts and Culture).

The Florida Artists Hall of Fame list reads like a Florida music history: Ray Charles was inducted in 1992, Jimmy Buffett of Key West in 2000, Tom Petty of Gainesville in 2014, Lynyrd Skynyrd of Jacksonville and George Clinton of Tallahassee in 2024, and Jim Morrison of Melbourne in 2025 (Florida Artists Hall of Fame). Bo Diddley of Archer joined in 2010 and Gloria Estefan of Miami in 2013. Visual art is there too, with Alfred Hair and the Florida Highwaymen of Fort Pierce inducted in 2004.

The Hall of Fame can be seen in person in Tallahassee: the Florida Artists Hall of Fame Wall is on the Plaza Level in the rotunda of the Capitol at 400 S Monroe Street, and each inductee also receives a bronze sculpture, La Florida, by St. Augustine artist Enzo Torcoletti. The 2025 class was John Anderson, Alvin Downing, Brian Kelley and Jim Morrison, and the next nomination deadline is July 31, 2027 at 5 p.m. (Florida Division of Arts and Culture).
