Vero Beach Events Guide

The Vero Beach season runs from a Theatre Guild musical in October 2026 through holiday concerts in December, opera and orchestra in January and February 2027, and the Firefighters' Fair, which ran March 13 to 22 in 2026.

The dates below come straight from each organizer's own site, checked October 14, 2026. Times and programs can change; the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and Vero Beach Opera both say so on their pages.

Sources for the table: Theatre Guild Season 69, Main Street Vero Beach, Atlantic Classical Orchestra Holiday Concert, Vero Beach Opera and Atlantic Classical Orchestra Masterworks. The Firefighters' Fair is missing from the Vero Beach table on purpose: its 2027 dates were not yet posted on October 14, 2026, as the next section explains.

The Indian River County Firefighters' Fair is a ten-day event at the county fairgrounds, 7955 58th Avenue, Vero Beach, that ran March 13 to 22 in 2026, and general admission in 2026 was $10, with children under 6 admitted free.

The 2026 fair opened Friday, March 13, at 5:00pm and closed Sunday, March 22, at 10:00pm, opening at 5:00pm on weekdays and 1:00pm on weekends (Firefighters' Fair information). Admission covers the daily free entertainment, while concerts, the rodeo and the demolition derby need separate tickets. Coolers, outside food and drink, lawn chairs and loud noise makers are not allowed through the Vero Beach fairgrounds gate. The fair phone lines, (772) 571-3247 and (772) 663-8116, are staffed only during March.

The event began in 1980 as the Vero Beach Firefighters County Fair, a six-day program held from April 15 to 20, 1980, at the Vero Beach Airport, and it has grown to ten days (Firefighters' Fair history). Indian River County set aside the present site in 1985; it has 45 acres of fenced area and 30 acres for parking, and the county also uses it as an emergency staging point for disaster relief. Since 2026, Fire Rescue Lieutenant Ryan Krueger has served as general manager, overseeing an annual budget above $250,000.

A practical note for anyone planning around the fair: on October 14, 2026 the fair information page still showed the 2026 dates, so the 2027 schedule is not yet official. The Firefighters' Fair guide covers the fair in more detail and will carry the 2027 dates once they post.

The Atlantic Classical Orchestra plays its 2027 Masterworks season at the Community Church of Vero Beach from January through April, and Vero Beach Opera stages Tosca at the VBHS Performing Arts Center on January 10, 2027.

The orchestra's 2027 Masterworks season is four programs: Stage and Screen in January, Dreams and Nightmares in February, Communion and Combustion in March and Rhythm and Ritual in April, each also repeated at The Lyric Theatre in Stuart (Atlantic Classical Orchestra). At the Community Church of Vero Beach, single tickets run from $85 in the Premiere zone to $25 in the Select zone, and a four-concert subscription from $275 down to $85, before fees (Venues and Seating). The box office answers at 772-460-0851, Monday to Thursday 10 am to 5 pm and Friday 10 am to 3 pm, with Fridays closed in summer. The orchestra's Vero Beach holiday concert is Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 4:00 pm at the St. Edward's Waxlax Center (ACO Holiday Concert).

Vero Beach Opera's Tosca on Sunday, January 10, 2027, at 3 pm is fully staged with English supertitles, and the company's Rising Stars Competition fills the same VBHS Performing Arts Center with semifinals on February 11, finals on February 12 and an awards concert on Saturday, February 13, 2027, at 7 pm (Vero Beach Opera). Whole-season subscribers save 10 percent, and the office number is 772-569-6993. The company also promotes the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD cinema season at Majestic 11 Vero Beach. The Atlantic Classical Orchestra guide and the Vero Beach Opera guide cover each group's history and venues.

The Vero Beach Theatre Guild's Season 69 mainstage has four shows, from Come From Away (October 16 to November 1, 2026) to Noises Off (April 23 to May 9, 2027), all rated PG.

Between those two, the Vero Beach Theatre Guild stages A Christmas Carol: The Musical from December 11 to 20, 2026, and Mame from February 26 to March 14, 2027 (Season 69 Mainstage). The theatre is at 2020 San Juan Ave, Vero Beach, FL 32960, and its box office is open Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 2 PM, and one hour before curtain, phone 772-562-8300 (Vero Beach Theatre Guild).

Alongside the mainstage, the Guild runs Blackbox After Dark, a three-show series aimed at mature actors and adult audiences in a small blackbox room, and a Theatrical Learning Center with classes, camps and workshops for students from age 8 through adult. The Vero Beach Theatre Guild guide covers the theatre and its history in more detail. A practical tip from the published schedule: the Guild box office keeps only four weekday hours, 10 AM to 2 PM, so evening and weekend buyers rely on the one hour before curtain or the online ticket links on the Vero Beach Theatre Guild site.

The Vero Beach Art Club, at 1903 14th Ave, runs a First Friday Gallery Stroll from 5 PM to 8 PM and presents annual outdoor shows including Under the Oaks, Art in the Park and Art by the Sea.

The Vero Beach Art Club gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 3 PM, office phone (772) 231-0303, and every six weeks it hangs a new themed, juried exhibit with a marketplace of handmade work beside it (Vero Beach Art Club). The club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, says it has served artists for nearly 90 years, and its November 2026 calendar lists the First Friday Gallery Stroll. The Under the Oaks guide covers that show in detail, and the Vero Beach Art Club guide covers classes, youth programs and the gallery.

Downtown, Main Street Vero Beach runs Downtown Friday street events, with Monster Mash on Main set for Friday, October 30, 2026, and its event menu also lists Meet Me On Main, Mural Fest and Miracle on 14th (Main Street Vero Beach).

Three Vero Beach guides cover traditions with no 2027 dates posted yet: the Fourth of July at Riverside Park, the Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade in Gifford and the Hibiscus Festival downtown.

Official detail on these is thin right now. The City of Vero Beach Recreation Department keeps a July 4th Information page, but when checked on October 14, 2026, it held only the department menu and no 2027 schedule (City of Vero Beach July 4th Information). The Main Street Vero Beach event menu in October 2026 lists Downtown Friday, Meet Me On Main, Mural Fest and Miracle on 14th but not the Hibiscus Festival (Main Street Vero Beach). The Fourth of July in Vero Beach guide, the Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Gifford guide and the Hibiscus Festival guide each draw on dated local reporting and will be updated once organizers post new dates.
